RJD chief Lalu Prasad celebrated his 79th birthday with family members at his residence in Patna on Thursday, as political leaders from across the country extended greetings to the veteran leader. Photographs shared by Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav showed Lalu Prasad cutting a birthday cake in the presence of family members.
Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary conveyed his wishes through a message, praying for Lalu Prasad's good health, long life and continued well-being. Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president M K Stalin also greeted the RJD leader, praising his commitment to secularism and social justice and wishing him health and happiness.
The celebration drew a large gathering of RJD workers and supporters outside 10 Circular Road, the official residence of former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi. Party supporters marked the occasion by distributing sweets and extending birthday wishes to the RJD supremo.
Several senior party leaders also visited Lalu Prasad during the day. Among them were RJD state president Mangani Lal Mandal and MLA Bhai Virendra, who personally greeted the former Bihar chief minister on his birthday and joined the celebrations at the residence.
Lalu Prasad's daughter Rohini Acharya shared a message expressing gratitude for her father's guidance and support throughout her life. In her birthday message, she wished him a long life, good health and continued blessings, describing his love, sacrifices and encouragement as invaluable to her.
